Lasagna (Continued)

To Keep and To Reheat

Keeping the lasagna for an extended period.
Le freshly baked lasagna cool down, then wrap it up with glad wrap plastic and aluminium foil, place it in a plastic freezer bag or plastic container, now it is ready for deep freezing.  It can keep for at least a month.
To reheat from frozen lasagna, defrost frozen lasagna in a microwave oven.  Or take it out from the freezer, keep in the fridge overnight to defrost.

Keeping the lasagna for a few days: cover it with glad wrap then refrigerate. If you cook the lasagna in a casserole dish with a lid, it is better, what you need to do is keep it covered in the fridge.

To Reheat Lasagna.
Take a slice, place it on a plate, sprinkle with tablespoon water, then cover with cling plastic.  Put in a microwave to reheat for 2 minutes on high.  (it depends on the microwave).  You should know the power and the capacity of your microwave.
When it is hot enough, ready to serve, remove the cling plastic cover, then drizzle with olive oil around it.  You could garnish with fresh tomatoes if you wish.

Remember,  lasagna is a creamy pasta dish, prepare a salad to go with it.
I know a family that is very lavish with their food.  She cooks and serves lasagna, for an entree, then followed by meat or fish dishes afterwards, but the green leaves salad is always a table for the family.

We had lasagna for our lunch, and I was so pleased that the pasta was good enough, even though only instant dry pasta.  It was a delicious lunch.  Thanks to the Italians for the food contribution to the world.

More Italian dishes to cook in the future.  Stay Tuned

I hope you had a good Monday, enjoy the rest of the week.

Until next post
