TURMERIC BREAD



Sourdough Turmeric Bread.
A very friendly bread making, kneading can be done by electric mixer instead of by hand. Delicious, healthy bread with beautiful vibrant yellow colour.  Served with salads or soup.

Five-gram turmeric powder, that we need for
the dough mixture, add in after the butter.
First mixing together: flour, water, starter, salt
and sugar use kneading hook, knead for 3 minutes in
 a low speed, another 7 minutes in high speed.

The dough stays in a bowl, cover with a damp cloth
and proof for 1.30 minutes.
While the dough is proofing, on halve way deflate the dough, knead lightly then continue proofing.
Halfway of proofing, deflate the dough, knead lightly, continue proofing.


Above, the dough before the final shaping to rest for 20 minutes.



Shaping the bread. Working with 1 piece of dough at the time. Make ball to a rough oval and gently shape it to a plumpish oval.  Do the rest of the balls.

Place on a baking tray which is lined with baking paper
cover with a damp cloth and proof for 1 hour.

Preheat the oven up to 210 degrees C a fan-forced, and place a baking sheet on the bottom shelf, of the oven. Just before putting these petty loaves in the oven pour 50 gr of water onto the preheated baking sheet.  Bake for 18 minutes.

Now, we have it, it was successful baking.  Time to taste, salad and warm spicy chicken breast were prepared to accompany the turmeric sourdough bread.  It is delicious to go with light broth soup.

Fresh leafy greens from the garden are ready for us.  Every day is a salad day, it can be boring but it is us, love our fresh vegetables.  It won't be a meal if there is no salad.
Fresh salad with light mustard dressing is a perfect garnish for the Turmeric bread.

The first to baking the bread since two years ago and was pleased with the result.

Apparently, the benefit of turmeric for our health is so good. I learnt about it, and it is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.

The family loves the bread, it is soft and yummy.  Our second time to taste this goodie, however, I could not compare to the first one, 'wich one the better one'? simply could not remember.

The Tumeric Bread is not only delicious and good for our health but certainly, I love the Look!
