Topiaries

Topiaries   To   Tasty Cavolo nero

Back to the garden, cleaning and clipping my topiary is very enjoyable.  I created topiaries from English Box, Australian Box and Lily Pily.  Some of them are mature now,  they look beautiful, they make an excellent display. To make topiaries needs time, patience, but the maintenance is simple enough.  Love it.

The other day Rayner also spent sometime in the afternoon to trim the giraffe topiary, I set it up, but now it is almost his. The giraffe looks so grand, tidy after the clipping and standing tall proudly.  For some reason that the giraffe needs cutting and trimming more often than the other topiaries.

The swan and the kangaroo are made of Australian box. Both are looking sad, but the plants are still there.  Half of the leaves have gone, and the rest is looking green.  I won't pull them from the ground, I think they should be OK.  They have a growing setback.
A few disappointments in the garden but always been brighter in the kitchen.   We enjoyed the homemade ravioli with herbs dressing and garnished with the delicious Italian vegetables cavolo nero.  It was a treat to have homegrown cavolo nero from Ann's and Max's garden.  Thank you.

That was a big day in the office, I have managed to fry potato croquettes with meat ragout filling.  There are days that  ONE  could be so productive, efficient,  feeling kind and generous.

It will be another lovely and happy story tomorrow, have a pleasant Saturday evening.  Enjoy!
