Art Gallery

Mary Rose's Art Exhibition

We had fun with the grandkids while they were staying with us.  Mary Rose my oldest grandchild, she loves reading and drawing/painting.  Thomas, her younger brother, loves drawings too.  They did a lot of drawing during their stay at our house.  Mary Rose loves drawing since she was two years old. Indeed, she is an artist.

We did enjoy their stories about their friends, the school and kinder.  But the most fantastic thing was Mary Rose's creativity.  She decided to have an art exhibition in the Museum for her artwork.  I supposed she meant it in the Art Gallery.

We got invitations, also her parents too.  She said children are welcome as well.
The invitations: P for Pop and S for Susy

I loved her opening speech, she spoke articulately:

"Welcome everyone, you are going to see twelve pictures today, and the images are animals paintings and drawing by Mary Rose, that is me ".

"I will cut the ribbon now"!.

So she did, and all the guests clapped.

We did enjoy the exhibition, she took the guests around and explained what the pictures were all about.  After she finished looking after the guests and explaining about her exhibition, she told them that you can stay as long as you wish, and you are most welcome to come back again.

It was so amazing, she did very well for a little five years old.  Those drawing were done the day before.  The opening exhibition was after breakfast on the following day.
Mary Rose's breakfast when she comes to visit us is a giant pancake
(It is a regular pancake, she thinks it is a big pancake, then I named it a giant pancake)

The recipe:
Mary Rose's Giant Pancakes

Ingredients:
1 cup full self-rising flour
3 eggs (small)
1 tablespoon margarine
2 teaspoons sugar
3/4 cup milk
Method
Mix the ingredients together to make a very smooth batter
Let it rest for 20 minutes, then cook with the pancake pan over medium heat
To make a giant pancake
Pour two large ladles of pancake mixture on to a hot greased pan
Swirl it around to cover the service of the pan, cook over medium heat
When the pancake has a lot of wholes and looks dry, turn it over and cook for a few seconds
Put on a serving plate, serve warm with any topping as you wish

Mary Rose loves her pancake with some jam, spread evenly that she rolls the pancake to eat it.

Very easy and quick to cook for breakfast.
Until next time.
