The vegetable patch is so empty. I got a dozen cabbages, they are just about to settle in, I planted a week ago. The herbs are resting; however the lamb lettuce is growing slowly and the radicchio spreading happily. The radicchio, the king of salad, is brighten up the garden, the winter garden.

Beside the gloominess of winter, there is the beautiful yellow bright colour of citruses, most of the fruits are ripening up. Thanks for citruses, they are the light of winter.
