TEN


October Table

Ten is the perfect number, October is the tenth month of the calendar year, the month is very significant in our family.  Babies were born, and celebrations always take place, with parties or without.  By saying that, it is still in my thought and it is very precious.
In the kitchen, cooking or baking are dedicated to the loved one and occasionally sharing delicious spread on the table for family and friends.
Jane's birthday is on the twenty-fifth and Mary Rose-my grand daughter's birthday before that, it was in the fourteenth of the month.

Thinking of my girls,  a sponge cake was baked, using their cups, we enjoyed a slice of the cake.

Friends were here with us, cooking a delicious dinner, it was a perfect table for eight.

Small cakes were baked to take along for visiting the grand kids, a good thing to do to make the Ten perfect.


Pears were poached, the red wine did it, red and salad greens were added for the table, and they were a perfect fit.

Sharing the baking with good will, home baked pumpkin scones and cakes.

Ginger fluff was the cake of the month, it was a lavish, beautiful sponge cake, it stood tall and straight.  Family and friend had a share of it, they said what a delicious cake.










Red roses in full bloom were picked, the red vase made the arrangement perfect.

But a party table it won't be perfect without pretty pies, small pies were fixed.

A rich roast, sweet cakes, pretty pies were fixed, but the Rice Dish,  make October table indeed so perfect.
