Winter Sun

Beautiful Blossom.
The winter sun, one of the cherry blossom trees,  is flowering beautifully, brightens up our front garden.  It blooms throughout winter to late spring, that is why it is called 'winter sun'.  This year it has more flowers.  It looks so bright in the misty winter morning
The winter sun tree is flowering beautifully

I did some work for our front garden, a lot more has to be done though.  However, we both are busy finishing off the back yard garden.  Thank goodness the pruning of roses has finished.
Piece Roses, Seduction, to Icy berg standard roses
are pruned today, looking forward to the beautiful flowers
in Spring.
Rose Bushes:  Deep Red, Red Intuition, Just Joy
Blue moon, Long stem white and Champagne Rose, all
Nicely pruned.  I am waiting for large and colourful blooms
in Spring
Full Standard Red Floribunda,  another beautiful red
flowers in Spring

I gave an extra time to tidy up my corner this weekend, it is the budding cymbidium, surrounded by topiary plants.  Soon the flowering orchid will be sitting inside the house.  I am looking forward to it.

The two potted topiary plants are looking good, I did not even trim it, but soon in the late winter giving some fertilisers is a must.  I am showing off my lemon, and it is time to harvest the fruits.
Lisbon Lemon,
yellow lemon fruits are so bright, they are doing well for the first harvest.

Poor vegetable patch, so far it is very messy, neglected, but soon it needs to be fixed, and be prepared for the Spring vegetable garden.  I think I will leave it until late September.  However, Rayner helped me to trim the two Geisha Girls, they sit side by side on the entrance of my vegetable patch.
The two Geisha Girls are trimmed neatly.

It is budding, soon we will enjoy the beautiful
the fragrance of the flowers

In the winter, the sun does not always shine, but our winter sun tree is still there for us.

Thanks to Melanie, our eldest daughter, who gives us the beautiful flowering cherry tree 'the winter sun' as a gift.  She would love to see the beautiful flowers, but she is so busy now with her four children.  However, it stays blossoming until late spring; hopefully she will be coming home for a visit.

Thanks For Stopping By
Until Next Post
