Pruning
In the garden, it is time for pruning the roses. There are many roses; it will take a long
time to do. The cold weather and the
wet soil are here, of course, it is winter after all, but this job has to be
done. Doing the right thing, so the
reward is going to be grand, well most of the time.
Beautiful blooms are looking forward to spring, the garden will
I have beautiful roses in lovely colours.
In The Backyard
Tidying up all the deciduous trees, pruning or light trimming are another job on the list. I check out the backyard this morning, there is a lot of work in front of us.

Citruses
Tahitian limes are harvested, this year there are more than enough to share with friends, the fruits turn to yellowish colour after some time.
Colour for lime is green.

There are a few mandarins, kaffir limes which are not very useful, and the pomelo fruits are growing very well. In a month time, I could pick the pomelo.
The Lisbon lemons are ready to pick, there are about twenty-two lemons, it is a success for the first harvest.
Potted Plants
Cyclamens are in bloom, the potted salad green is so healthy, and some of the potted succulents are budding.
It is so entirely in the garden, time for the plants to rest, the hydrangeas are so sad looking; however, I let them be, they will be back in late spring with great bright colours.
The four seasons remind us about our being, winter is time to rest, to hibernate, celebrate winter by staying in, keep warm but I know out there people enjoy the snow. It's all good.
In two weeks, hopefully, the garden is dressed for winter, to embrace the spring to come.
