Updates


Pancake Rolls and Strawberry Cake

Catching up with the freezing of the pancake rolls with fresh avocado filling and the tasting/cutting of the strawberry chocolate cake. 

I am glad to tell you that the deep freezing of the fresh pancake rolls with avocado and chicken filling was very successful.  It is a short time freezing, about a week to keep fresh food in the freezer.
The pancakes were kept for 5 days in the freezer, defrost overnight in the refrigerator, and reheat it to a fresh or room temperature to serve. They are perfect as good as new the day you cook them.

The Strawberry Cake is not the best.  It's very disappointing, but that's a part of cooking.
The cake cuts easily, and it is moist enough but slightly crumbly.  I think it is the fault of the baker, she over mixed the cake's ingredients, and also the oven was too hot.

A delicious strawberry chocolate cake, it is crumbly but moist enough.  However, it delighted a few friends who come for afternoon tea with us.
I don't think it is a good idea sharing the recipe at this stage, when it is perfect I shall post it.
