To Mums With Love

Wishing You All Mothers To Have A Happy Mother's Day.


 I hope you will have an enjoyable and joyful day with the family tomorrow on the thirteenth of May 2012.  Happy Mother's Day to you all.

I am sure that you all children have organised to celebrate  Mother's Day, may be preparing a 'brag book' for mum or buy an album and fill it with up-to-date pictures of her children and grandchildren and so forth.  Maybe you had a plan for a fantastic breakfast.
How about a beautiful cake for mum for her particular morning or afternoon tea.
I have baked the special cake for mum, and wish to share the recipe with you.  Maybe it is not too late.  What you need is just a sponge cake (you can buy), filled with delicious cream patisserie.


The Recipe



Cream Patisserie




Ingredients
300 ml full milk
3 large egg yolks
50 g white sugar or more if you wish a sweeter cream
2 tablespoons plain flour
2 tablespoons corn flour
½ tablespoon liqueur (Grand Marnier, Brandy)-optional
1teaspoon vanilla paste

Method


  1. Place the flours, sugar and egg yolk in a bowl, whisk and beat them until smooth
  2. In the meantime heat the milk, until hot enough but not boiling
  3. Add some of the milk onto the egg mixture and stir it well until smooth
  4. Pour the rest of the milk, mix and stir again then put it on a low heat to cook
  5. Keep on stirring while you are cooking until it’s boiling.
  6. When it boils, whisk mixture constantly for 45 seconds until the combination is thick.
  7. Remove off heat and whisk in the vanilla paste and the liqueur.
  8. Transfer on a clean bowl, cover with plastic wrap to prevent a crust from forming
  9. Cool To room temperature.  If not using right away, refrigerate until needed, up to three days. Whisk or stir before using to get rid of any lumps that may have formed

Now you have the cream patisserie, what you need is to fill up the sponge cake and decorate with beautiful fresh flowers
Of course, you can do beautiful piping work for the decoration if you wish.
Mum is so loving, she would be happy to receive any gifts from you.



Well if you don't have time to make this cake,  keep the recipe for other occasions, do it for her birthday.
