Pan-fry Turmeric Chicken
2 chicken breast fillets, sliced thinly into a few pieces (16)
1teaspoon turmeric
1 clove garlic
1tablespoon yoghurt
2 tablespoons plain flour
Salt to taste
Oil for pan-frying
Method
Place the chicken in a bowl; rub the chicken with the turmericAdd in the garlic, salt, yoghurt and the flour; then mix
Pan – fry the chicken in medium hot oil quickly, so little at a time
Do it in three batches.
Sprinkle extra turmeric to serve
To serve: Serve with flatbread, lettuce and yoghurt.
Crispy Chicken
2 chicken thigh fillets, cut into strips
Juice of ½ lime - (shredded the rind)
1 clove garlic, crushed
¼ teaspoon white pepper
2 tablespoons self-rising flour
Salt to taste
Oil for frying
Some shredded lettuce- iceberg
Method
Do this before you fry the chickenPlace the chicken in a bowl; add in the rind, crushed garlic, juice, salt and mix
Add in the flour, and mix them together.
Fry in hot oil: drop the chicken strips one by one, in the hot oil,
Six pieces at the time; depend on the size of the frying pan, cook until golden.
Put the crispy chicken on top of the shredded lettuce. Serve at once.
To serve: serve as it is with a sauce or with steamed white rice and sambal.
