COLOURS

Winter Garden  -  Colours

It is so empty, no leaves on trees, no flowers and no herbs.  But the potted plants; the orchids, cyclamens are lovely and flowering.  Some plants are well and good because they are in the right season, the citruses are with fruits and radicchio the queen of winter lettuce is showing off their beauty.

Beautiful flowers of the cyclamens which are sitting outside of the back door, indeed they brighten up the place, through the kitchen window, everyone can enjoy them as they are seen from inside the house.

Dark winter, but there are bright colours that encourage us all to enjoy the season.  Luckily they can be found not just from flowers but from fruits and vegetables too.
purple cauliflower is so beautiful
orange colour of the oranges is so intense, lovely orange

The pink cymbidiums orchid is sitting inside the house, it is pretty with five stems of flowers.  There are more outside, the buds are getting bigger, and the stem is growing longer every day.  One pot has five stems, the next one has three, and the one that sitting in a corner has two, and many more.

Winter cooking can be bright too, fresh hot pumpkin soup, the dish that warms you up in this cold winter.  Hot pudding, stuffed red apples baked on syrup are delicious and very colourful

Subdued colour of cooking, added with some fresh herbs, makes the dish more alive.  That is what we want to create beautiful and brighter.

Green and white are a beautiful combination, as the theme of the front garden,  They are colours for all season.

Bright colours, Bright spirits, Big smiles.  Green is Gorgeous, it is a sign of living.  In the winter time, beautiful and bright colours are everywhere, if we care to see them.
