St Valentine

Valentine's Day in Australia

Valentine’s Day, which is annually held on February 14, is one of the most romantic days in the year for many people in countries such as Australia.

Many people in countries such as Australia celebrate Valentine’s Day by giving flowers, chocolates, jewellery or other presents of all shapes and sizes to their loved ones or those they admire. This event falls on February 14 each year. (Wiki)

Saint Valentine's Day, commonly shortened to Valentine's Day is a holiday observed on February 14 honouring one or more early Christian Martyrs named Saint Valentine.  It is traditionally a day on which lovers express their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering.

People celebrate valentine's confectionery and sending greeting cards (known as 'valentines'}.  The day first became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. (Wiki) I enjoyed to read them.

I wish everyone to have a beautiful day and a happy one too.

Snapshots of flowering plants from my garden, beautiful colours and bright.  Lovely.

Good bright morning here in Victoria, Australia, I am sure it is going to be a good sunny day.
Have a great day all.
