In The Garden (Continued)

The   Front  Yard

The garden in the front yard is looking perfect after the hedges and plants were trimmed. The grass looks green and also very thick.  Started off as a turf, It is now just green grass with weeds. However, it is well groomed, Rayner cuts the grass regularly

The black stallion is so round elegant, the colour is not at its best though.  It is handsome against the green leaves of the camellia sasanqua setsugekka.

The winter sun and the hedges are healthy.

A plant for a bog space, but it flourishes in the front yard against the right side fence.

The winter sun is never flowering better since I planted, it is supposed to be blooming through winter to spring.

The left side fence, the camellia sasanqua looks so lush, the green leaves so shiny.  It has been successful so far.  They give beautiful white flowers every year.  At present, they are nicely trimmed with perfection.  Thanks to Rayner.

Through the left gate to get to the back yard, some potted plants are happy there, I am sure they stay that way. It is a cool spot that potted hydrangeas, monstera deliciosa, orchids even a weeping fig tree survive and flourish.

Gardening nourishes me and pleases me, sometimes it gets too much.  It shows in these sad looking potted bamboo plants,  they are suffering from the summer's heat.   They are neglected.
I started only one plant, it was a gift from a friend-Kerry. It came with us from the Western District,  the place that we used to live in.  I may have to put some on the ground, but there is a significant risk with bamboo!  Just see.

Two Pots of Black Mondo Grass have established beautifully.

I think it is enough about the garden for now, but to work consistently on it, that is what I ought to do.

It has been glorious sunny Friday, I am very thankful.

Until Next Post
