Happy Easter

Festive Easter Saturday.
A lovely Easter Sunday just for the two of us this year, the grandkids of Melbourne were here a few weeks ago, there is no Easter Egg hunting today at our home, but they are celebrating a happy one with their parents. It was good to see that our dear grandson, who lives in the Netherland showed us his beautiful and large Easter Chocolate egg. Enjoy!
A relaxed Easter Sunday for us and it is lovely too.  We all are blessed.
Have a Very Happy Easter Dear Family and Friends.

Happy Easter Everyone, Have a lovely Day and Happy Feasting.

Celebrate Easter.
How do you celebrate Easter? I am sure everyone is different.  In terms of the feasting, Easter with us is all about enjoying the family a good home cooking, and the Easter Eggs is the key for the Day.
Hard-Boiled Egg
(pretty printed pattern on it)

For me, Earthy and Natural cooking is essential for this occasion. The dish is simple, the simplicity that makes the food glorious and beautifully celebrates.
The Menu: Rice is steamed without any adding other ingredients.  Served with lamb or chicken, which is cooked as a whole, not pieces. (an example)

This year, the Lamb is our Easter Feast.  And here it was what I did.
Susy Easter Lamb with Garnishes.
A whole leg of lamb studded with rosemary and unpeeled raw cloves garlic.  Rub with lemon juice, salt and drizzle with olive oil. It cooked in the oven and roasted in slow heat.

The Garnishes and Flavour.
Unpeeled pumpkin, potato and whole green bean.  Unp[eeled onion for the bed of the leg of lamb for the roasting.
Vegetables for the Garnishes

Wrapped Vegetables for the Roasting
The Eggs.
Our family's Easter Egg is a fresh hard-boiled egg.  Every year I do it, and this year the egg looks pretty smart with the printed pattern of eaves and herb from my garden.
Soft and delicate print patterns on these Easter Egg made the Celebration.

The Crown - The Easter Crown.
Decided baking a very natural bread, sourdough bread with natural yeast (my sourdough starter) for a rustic and earthy looking crown.  It cooked well, but the scoring of the dough did not spit during the baking process.  I could accept that, it's alright because I know it is going to be suitable for the Easter Crown after it's dressed.

Rustic and Crusty bread to showcase the Easter Eggs.

Easter Saturday was the celebration for us, with this fine cooking to be shared with family and children.  It was lovely.
Today is Easter Sunday, my thanksgiving to Jesus for his sacrificed to save us all.  Remembering His Love and the blessing of a new beginning.

Sunday Breakfast.
Lovely breakfast this morning, sweet Easter bun, the Easter egg and fruit.  Beautiful fresh fig, Fig the fruit of Theos.

A good start, a lovely Sunday morning today.

Happy Easter To You All.

Until Next Post
