Get mixed leafy salad and fresh sliced tomato, place on a large plate and dress it with oil, this salad is the garnish for the poached ricotta. The dish ends up looking so fresh and colourful.

Colourful Vegetables
Peas on Roasted Pumpkin
To encourage children to eat vegetables can be challenging, I served peas with pumpkin for my grandkids who were with us during the school holiday was fun and they loved it.  What I did was, simply placing the cooked peas on a half roasted pumpkin,  It looked so good and colourful.

The vegetables were the garnished for a roast lamb, but it is good to garnish for braised meatballs or any grilled meat.

Baked Whole Cauliflower with cheese
Baked whole cauliflower with cheese, is another attractive cooking to serving the children and adult of course.  It looked so golden, and beautifully round sitting on a pretty pumpkin pot.  It's so right to be served with colourful pasta.

Pretty Soft Colour Cakes
A Picnic and afternoon tea with the grandkids were lovely, they loved the pink cake.

A mini picnic cakes, easy to pack, to transport and very pretty, easy to eat. The best time to eat sweet is a time when you can spend it by being active. The children spent their time running around in the park after the sweet treat.
Running around and stopped to feed the duck.

Afternoon tea was lovely, the two children had a light hot tea with sugar and milk to go with the delightful sponge cake topped with pink meringue.

Three colours Pasta
The bright, beautiful and soft colour is instead appealing the family, and the kids loved it.

A lunch with three pretty colours pasta was received well, they did not want for second as other treats were coming.
The egg pasta has three colours, green, orange and yellow.
The green (spinach flavour), the orange (carrot flavour) and the yellow (plain egg flavour).  It was a colourful dish and delicious, look good on a plate.

The dark, rustic look dishes are sophisticated and grand, they have their own place, and the family love them.   But colourful dishes are very inviting also cheerful.

Until Next Post.
Susy.
