All About Milo Isaac

The trip to the Netherlands in 2012 was for visiting our grandson Milo Isaac.  He was born on the third of July this year.  As promised to my daughter Jane,  I/we would like to visit when she has a baby, so that is what we did, we kept the promise.  Milo was a month and twelve days when we got there.  He has grown up so much since he is a big baby boy now, he is two months and twenty-three days today.

Our first meeting with Milo was a sweet surprise, his parents-Jane and Ed, brought Milo to Schiphol airport to pick us up.  He was asleep in a sling, carried by Jane.  A surprise indeed, I never thought that we would see him there.  It was good though, he was asleep in the car on the way to Eindhoven, but we stopped once for Milo to have his milk.  It was a beautiful ride that I will always remember.

We all arrived at their home safely.  Jane showed us around the house that has been transformed since I saw it last time, but especially Milo's room.  It's so serene with soft colour but tasteful, and it is very well equipped.  Jane and Ed had prepared the nursery with a lot of thought and love. Cream and white is the colour of Milo's flowers, often he has a soft flower arrangement in his room.

After the first long trip, Milo was not settled, in fact, he cried a lot for a while,  understandable.  Baby is so flexible, Milo could relax and is easy to look after.  He is a happy and playful baby boy.
I had chances to carry him with a selendang (a long piece of cloth), and I could get to know him better.  He loves being with people, he responds very well when you talk to him.  He makes lovely sounds and gestures with his little hands.

Milo has very caring parents.  He has a devoted mother Jane and a doting father, Ed.

It was a great and very precious visit, we had a great time to be with Milo. Also, it was a good time too that we could travel to see different towns and countries: Germany and Belgium.
Thanks to Milo that you pick us up at the arrival in the Netherlands. You were there to keep us company on this trip to Nunan, Nijmegen and to the Floriade 2012.  It was a beautiful day that you were there to have a walk and lunch in the garden at Geldrop.  And a lot more of the good times with you we had: at the BBQ party which was hosted by your Tante Silvia and Oom Fred in Uden, shopping, visiting the markets, travelling to see Oma and Opa in Zeeland.  I will treasure all the good times with you always.

Now we are back in Australia, we miss him, but with the modern technology today, we can see him regularly on Face Time.  We shall not miss too much of his growing up.

Milo on Face Time 25 September 2012

*****

Milo is coming to visit us at Easter, he will be nine months old.  We are looking forward to having him, and he will meet his aunty Susan in Melbourne, he would love that.   I think it is going to be a fascinating time for his four cousins here in Australia to meet you, Milo.  He will play together with cousin Mary, Thomas, Henry and Lily, and also he will be meeting aunty, Mel and uncle Lance.  He will have a lot of cuddles from everyone.

In the meantime, we are happy enough to see Milo on Face Time regularly.

This beautiful photos of white orchids and the soft cream and white flower arrangement in the Floriade, make me think of Milo.  Thanks, Milo for being so good at the show, it was a great day for us and a big day out for you.

With Milo, I have five grandchildren now.  Nana and Pop are blessed to have beautiful and healthy grandchildren.

Until Next Time
Thank You All For Visiting My Blog

  1. Mum/Nana, we love this post - it's a lovely summary of your wonderful time here with us, which we will never ever forget and we look back on with so much joy. Keep an eye on the post, there is a little something special coming your way, from Milo and us.
Love you and Dad/Pop heaps and thank you for dedicating this entry to us! (Brought a tear to the eye, it was so nice to read such nice things about us).
I enjoyed the quiet-er FaceTime this morning by the way! (Although it was fun seeing everyone on Friday night!)
