TEA CAKE

No, it is not a scone dough, no it is not a cake mixture, but what is it?
A fancy apple tea-ring cake was baked in my kitchen today. Only the right ingredients were used.  And here they were, self-rising flour mixed with butter generously and added light syrup flavour with star anise and cinnamon, also sour cream.  For extra sweetness added sultanas That were for the based for the cake.  Sliced two apples into rings, for the topping.  Dressed with honey and walnuts.
Baked in a conventional oven at 200 degrees C for 22 minutes.  The result was a beautiful looking and a friendly cake. Cut to square pieces to serve.

MORE TEA CAKE

Apple Cake Dressed in Pumpkin Seeds

I have good apples ready in the fridge, but too soft to be eaten fresh.  A trendy cake was born.
Peel and cut to four or six, depending on the size.  Cover each apple with a soft scone dough, roll it on the pumpkin seeds and baked in a hot oven for 16 minutes.
To serve: drizzle with honey and served warm or dust with icing, and pile up on a plate.

While it's warm, serve with honey and dust with icing sugar to serve.
No Recipe.
Top with white chocolate is delicious too, omit the icing sugar.
The fresh apple in the middle of the cake, which emphasises the tartness of the fruit makes the sweet cake delightfully delicious.
The family enjoy this treat, with cream.  The warm apple cake with pouring cream, indeed it is so good.

There won't be anymore baking for a while.
Have a try of those recipes, and 'Happy Baking.'

Thank You for Visiting
Susy
