Garden - The Front Yard.

SPRING 2015
Adding annual flowers, Petunia and Alyssum plants in the front yard to make a better garden.

The Japanese Maples are looking beautiful, Acer Palmatum bright red and the green cascading.

Camellia - growing along the left fence,

The leaves of the Camellia are so green and shiny, they will be flowering next year though, late of March.  Right now I have to make sure that they are healthy and they have enough water during hot summer months.
The Winter Sun Cheery Tree is finished flowering, now the young leaves are so green and so fresh.

After a long hard day work in the front garden, simply walk through the gate to go to my backyard.  Resting and relaxing in it is always pleasant.

Two creamy Cymbidium orchids are sitting under the porch, by the front entrance to welcome visitors.

The green cascading Acer Palmatum and other plants are doing alright.

Today is Friday, I had so much fun working in the front yard to mulch the flower bed.  Now there are two new type flowering plants, hot waves petunia - ten of those, and white Alyssum plants.  I hope they work well together.

Like anything else, with encouragement and tender loving care this garden can be beautiful, I am pleased with the annual flowers, mulch was added to help them grow better. Use mulch in perennial and annual beds and borders to keep weeds in check, and to retain moisture in the soil.
Mulching is indeed essential and has to be done carefully,  the mulch imparts dust,  we have to be brave breathing close to it, wearing a proper gear may help. The first mulching has been done,  I will top up some more mulch in two weeks.

A big job well done, I must say.

Enough about the garden, for now, it is a kind of boring as I often talk the same thing about my garden.

I will post some cooking recipes, Spring is here, maybe enjoyable cooking for the season would be more entertaining.

Until Next Post
