No More Easter Egg Hunting in our backyard, it has not been for a long time, the grandchildren live so far away now, it is too hard to come home to visit us. But it was good to have our third daughter, Susan, her husband Tris and their dog, Alfie, home over the weekend. We always take advantages when the family to come home, talking to catch up is still fun, and this time too. After the evening meal usually, we don't move from our dining room simply because we love talking. Lots of communications, sharing ideas and catching the latest news around us. This time we had a new topic that was worth to share. It's so funny, we laugh and laugh, in fact, we had a hideous laugh we were crying with joy.
It's a happy family gathering before Easter.
A short visit, we stayed in and enjoyed the home cooking. A few exciting dishes were prepared for Susan and Tristan. These are the dishes: Javanese resoles, whole cabbage stuffed with meat, opor Ayam (chicken curry), pork fillet wrapped in prosciutto and saute eggplant with prawns.
Variety of dishes but I am afraid I don't have the recipes to share this time.
No butter cake, using oil instead, homemade pastry to make mini strudels
Before they left for Melbourne, of course, they visited the backyard. I invited them to see my self-sown pumpkins. Alfie had super fun to run around in the yard.
In the backyard, Susy, Susan, Tristan, Rayner and Alfie.
A good weekend we had, the health problem was forgotten, everything was great, I believe I could do the right thing until suddenly I decided to lay down and fell asleep. Woke up almost midnight. Then, of course, the children were in bed already. In the following morning, we greeted each other well as nothing had happened, the children understood. This is the picture of a family, always understand to one another.
After they left for Melbourne, the house was so quiet, empty, but It is what it is.
Easter is coming, I wish you my dear children, Melanie, Jane, Susan and family to have a Happy Easter. Have good Easter grandkids enjoy the Easter Eggs and lots of chocolates.
Cooking no more, Easter will be just the two of us, I am sure we will have Easter Eggs. Rayner doesn't care about good food, he knows what he needs, but today everyone looks after him well. He is a lucky bloke.
Before Easter, my journey for healing continue; hopefully, it is going to be a successful one.
Take Care.
Susy.
