After The Rain

The Garden is green and lush, it is so good to see, thanks to the rain.  The sound of the endless rain is very nostalgic. The fresh rain blesses the plants, the garden celebrates the bounty of the freshness.
Beautiful Healthy Plants

Heavenly Hydrangeas, water is the need for these bushes, they never have enough of, right now beautifully showing off their flowers, pretty pink, and beautiful blue.  The wet soil is their sanctuary, it is great to have the rain.
Right now the garden is looking healthy, happy and peaceful.

Updated Today Wednesday.
No, working in the garden was not the priority, too busy too many appointments to be met.  So pulling out the weed did not take place.  However, spending little time in the garden in the late afternoon was pleasant, tidying up the vegetable patch, the tomato plants suddenly shoot up after the rain, now they are standing tall and very strong, and I spotted some flowers already.
Self-seed tomato plants from last year, they are doing well, the rain and the sun helped them grow faster and beautifully.  Rayner did an excellent job to fix the tomato climber, this year we shall have big harvests, as we have three plants which are planted in the ground and two more they are potted.

Pulling out old parsleys which are almost come to seed was necessary, also another herb plant which is growing wild in the patch.  That way giving the tomato plant more space and more nutrition, hopefully, they will thrive better.  I collected some roots of the parsley plants, now they are cleaned and washed ready to be boiled for vegetable stock or for drinking tea parsley, I was told that it is very healthy.

The Potted Tomato Plants

Cutting down the branches, leaves of the standard cherry tree winter sun was very satisfactory, I did it casually, working in my day clothes instead of the gardening gear but I got the job done.  That's the main thing.  Overall it was good to be working in the garden, a rather pleasant afternoon I must say.
It is time to tidy up the hedges underneath, and the front yard garden.

Did I tell you about my Espalier Apple Fuji, started off very well, it has some flowers before, but for some reason, the flowers fell off, there are no more.   But the plant is looking good and healthy with plenty of green leaves.  What does it mean?  Will I or Won't I have the fruit, the fresh apple from the garden that I dream of.  No, not likely. Very Disappointing!

So, this year, I grow an apple tree, but no apple only leave.  Maybe next year the tree will have fruits, what expenses purchased it was.

Roses have been taken care of, deadheading all roses have been done, new buds are appearing, and a few roses back to bloom, they look so pretty after the rain.
A cool breeze greeting me while I was walking around in the backyard, so pleasantly lovely!
After the rain, the garden has so much more.

Until Next Post

  1. Weeding is the best to be working in the garden after the rain, the soil is so wet, maybe I must take the advantage.
