ROSES, HOYA, 2020

The addition of roses in my garden, the Kordes Roses are doing very well, they are growing in pots but eventually will be planted in the ground.  The weather has been cool and also we had a little rain lately which helped these roses flourishing.  Other roses in the garden are right too.

The standards Pierre de Ronsard are settling beautifully in pots, and now they are flowering too.  The tree doesn't look that pretty just yet, the look is unshaped, the brunches grow one side only.  They are stack with a sturdy stick, but I could do better, so far I don't think I did it well. Pleased with the weeping standard, which is doing alright, the growth of the new leaves are so evident, green and healthy.

Wait until they are well established, I guess, to see their beauty, the strength and the perfect shape.

Other roses plants are flowering again after light pruning in summer, as I know the second flowering is not the same as the first, regardless they are looking good in the garden.

The Lady Gardener Rose
David Austin Rose -The Lady Gardener to add in my garden, of late has settled well, it is flourishing and also flowering.  I was taken by the name, The Lady Gardener, what a name, so appropriate to have I thought.  At the time only wilted flowers on the plant, so I was not sure about the colour. I love her even more now, the flower is so pretty peach with a touch of pink.

Once during the hot day this summer, they were watered well, and applying fertiliser has to be done soon.  Summer job for the roses!

Flower Plants in Pots, 2020
Other flowering plants that I am proud of are the Hoya Plants.  They are flowering beautifully and at the moment are at their best.

Hoya Carnosa
Two Hoya Plants have lots of flowers, soon will look spectacular while they are in full bloom.

Hoya flower is beautiful and delicate.

The details, looking at the flowers closely.

Another Hoya Carnosa plant, flowering beautifully this year.

The flowers appear and stay looking down naturally, and why (my question).  They look much better facing forward so they can be seen better.  I have been trying so hard to train them to meet-face us instead of looking down, and it is not easy as the buds are brittle.  Maybe you people out there have a better idea the right technique how to do.

A chilly morning today at my part of the world, it is agreeable indeed for the roses, hoya and for the garden, all gardens.

More Posts Soon.
