Ready For Christmas (Continued)

We are getting ready for Christmas, the preparation is not only about cooking, baking, and shopping, but to take things easy,  our preparation is almost taking shape, mini fruit cakes are dressed, and they look pretty, now they are sitting at the table, soon the baking biscuits is going to be done too.

The cakes are made, they are so beautiful
Rose Petal and Angelica are done

I decided not to put the Christmas Tree up, but I love to celebrate the season by dressing up my Australian native plants Lily Pilly, which grow outside at the entrance of our house.
I think it is quite festive, yesterday when I just finished doing it, a friend came for a surprise visit. It was good to see Lyn, I have not seen her for a long time.

Today the nineteen of December is the last day of playing our sport, we had a lovely break up with the club.  We had good ping pong games, and we had delicious foods for morning tea.  It was generous and gorgeous spread from all members.

Christmas Cake-Sponge with Liquor
Cottage Cheese and Egg Pie

Our contribution was light cottage cheese pie and our Christmas cake, it's a sponge with liquor but dressed with Christmas theme, green glace angelica, red sugared rose petal which I prepared earlier, and the roses also the angelica is from my own garden.

Today is a perfect time for the breakup, so we can catch up with the busy season, getting ready for an ideal celebration.

Sliced cottage cheese and egg pie are ready, dust with icing sugar to serve.

Six days to go to Christmas, but it is enough time to get things going and to be ready.  I will be baking special biscuits, using macadamia nuts, to celebrate the Australian produce.
I have to pray for cooler weather for it, I have only the weekend, it would be my last preparation for Christmas 2013.

Waiting and getting ready is good, but being prepared is better.  Does it make sense?!
Enjoy the season, and be happy and jolly getting ready for the Big Day.

Until Next Post
Thank you for visiting
Susy
