Chocolate Cake for The Gods.



A Decadent Gorgeous decorated chocolate cake with white chocolate ganache, fresh fruits, and pistachio nuts for an offering, there is no holding back, the lavish and beautiful cake is dedicated to all.  Enjoy its richness, and deliciousness to serve with black coffee.

The Recipe

Decadent Chocolate Cake
(Based on Greek Yogurt Chocolate Cake)

Ingredients
Dry Ingredients
2 cups heaped full plain flour
1 1/2 cups granulated sugar
3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
Mini Cake

Wet Ingredients
1/2 cup whole milk
3/4 cup full-fat Greek Yogurt
1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 large eggs, and 1 egg yolk
100g unsalted butter, melted
1/2 cup hot strong coffee

Method
Preheat oven to 160 degrees C (oven forced)
Prepare a 10 inches metal cake pans, buttered generously and lined with baking paper
The Dry Ingredients
Add, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt to a large bowl whisk through to combine.
Stir in flour mixture until combined well.  Set aside.
The Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl combine the milk, oil, eggs, yolk, butter, Greek Yogurt, mix well to combine.
Slowly add the wet ingredients to dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.  Do not overmix
Place the cake batter to the prepared tin, and bake in the preheated oven for 55-59minutes approx
Remove from the oven and allow the cake to cool for about 10 minutes before removing from the pan and transferring to a wire rack to cool completely

Decorate the cake with chocolate or white chocolate ganache, top with sugared petal roses, fresh fruit and pistachio nuts.
The preparation
SUGAR AND COCOA POWDER (DRY INGREDIENTS)
Granulated white sugar and the three-quarter cup of cocoa powder put in a large bowl and mix together these are a part of the Dry Ingredients.
SUGAR, COCOA, PLAIN FLOUR, BAKING POWDER AND SODA, SALT  (DRY INGREDIENTS)
Add in the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt into the bowl and mix in with the sugar and good quality of the cocoa powder together, now you have the All Dry Ingredients.
MELTED BUTTER, EGGS, MILK, YOGURT AND OIL (WET INGREDIENTS)
Melted the butter, two eggs and yolk, half-cup whole milk, 3/4 cup of Greek yoghurt, and a half cup of vegetable oil these are the Wet Ingredients.
DRY INGREDIENT ADDED TO THE WET INGREDIENTS
Mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, mix together by hand with a whisk, or using an electric stand mixer.
THE MIXED OF THE DRY AND THE WET INGREDIENTS
Beat it well quickly to make a smooth cake batter.
ADDING HOT STRONG COFFEE AND MIX TOGETHER
The last one is adding the hot coffee, mix together thoroughly to make a beautiful smooth cake mixture.  Do not over mix.
THE CHOCOLATE CAKE MIXTURE

Pour the cake mixture into a prepared 10 inches tin and lined with baking paper. Bake in a moderately hot oven at 160 degrees C for 55 minutes.

Absolutely Gorgeous.
This delightful and decadent cake was shared and enjoyed by my family, neighbours and friends.  It's a rich chocolate cake, but light to eat, the fresh fruits, raspberries and the fig fruit did it.

The leftover cake batter was enough to make three mini cake, and here they are dressed in all the goodness.  It is rich, luxurious and luscious.




The fifth months of the year it is, the time has gone far too fast, but indeed it has been suitable for sharing my cooking activities and other experiences to post on the blog.
Having a rest and doing deferent thing soon, as we know, having a change of routines is a holiday in itself.  No blogging for a little while, and in the meant time Take Care All!

Sharing is Caring.  THANKING Sports Club for the morning tea was sweet brioche, it's an easy cake to serve a crowd.  Dressing the cake in the morning the day they were served.  Drizzled with a light white chocolate ganache, sprinkled with slivered almond and dusted with icing powder.
