OUR  OVERSEAS  HOLIDAYS

Snapshots of Vienna and Austria in 2015

VIENNA

 AUSTRIA-SALZBURG

The two of us explored the city of Vienna, and we attended a concert at Musikverein for Wiener Mozart Konzerte. It was a delightful evening, a treat indeed. We did sightseeing in the city, visiting the Schoenbrunn Palace, tasting the local food and delicacies.  Absolutely beautiful.  We travelled from Vienna to Salzburg- Austria by bus, and on the way, we enjoyed the scenery, absolutely breathtaking.   A long day trip, it was, we were exhausted, but it was good.
We managed to go to Danube river, and Rayner was so pleased to touch and to feel the water and so did I.   It is such a long river, we were happy enough to have visited the particular place, it's so quiet and tranquil, there were not many visitors that made the place very special.
I loved the train rides, people were so helpful, we could not get lost, every time, if I was not too sure what I did, was ask questions to anyone close to me, and they were very willing and almost obliged to help. The gardens and parks in Vienna were awe-inspiring with a lot of large benches, people were resting there, also dancing, listening to music and relaxed.  I loved the Park which is close by from our hotel, we passed by and stopped there for our daily walk.  Who knows we may be back for a second visit, that would be great!  We could do more sightseeing in the city and also we will be able to visit Budapest, Bratislava and Prague and taste more food which we have missed on the last visit.
Fresh, Best Strawberries
Sweet and Juicy
I must tell you this, we had the best fresh strawberries ever, we had them almost every day.    In Europe, strawberries are red, plump, sweet and very juicy, you never have enough.  They are so good.

We love Vienna of all and thank You, Vienna.

I will continue with our journey to see the Chelsea flower show.  Now I am showing you the snapshots of my garden, at Park Lane Traralgon Australia.

Chelsea Flower Show and Beautiful Gardens of England, 2015
Snapshots
English Garden,  and Chelsea Flower Show.  Just as I expected, at the show I saw amazing and beautiful gardens design,  and very lavish flowers, it was so beautiful.

Beautiful Formal Garden at Cliveden, correctly maintained.

Started from our home, Rayner's getting ready, after the long flight we rested to a lovely place in the Grange hotels London for overnight.  The following morning we began our garden's tour journey.

Woodland garden at The Savill Gardens was absolutely lush, green and so tranquil.  A lot of old tall trees, ferns we saw, and the azaleas, the rhododendron were at their best, absolutely gorgeous, the walked that we did was perfect after the long trip, it did help us to recover of the jet lag.

Scones served with jam, and clotted cream is typical English sweet, we tried and loved it.

Australian Garden at Chelsea Flower Show 2015, CHARLIE by Charlie Albone.
The time in between by Husqvarna and Gardena.
Written:
Charlie Albone has designed a garden as a space to connect with late father and come to terms with his loss.  Romantic planting celebrates life while the water feature in the second section encourages people to explore their emotions, emptying in a matter of seconds.  Towards the back of the garden, there is a place to sit and really enjoy life, talking to the people you love

It was good to see the Chelsea Flower Show, I am glad that we did it.   We had a great time and loved the walk at the woodland garden at Savill and enjoyed the beautiful formal garden at Cliveden.  The following day we went to see more beautiful gardens in England.
To Be Continued.
