Potted Plants In Winter

Beautiful Potted Plants
Potted cyclamens are well established now, they are in flowers, and are looking lovely this winter.

Mixed colours of potted cyclamens are amazing this winter.

Some of the nasturtiums have been damaged by the frost, but this potted nasturtium is flowering, it lights up the dull corner of the garden.

Last year I reported the standard Bay Tree, and I think it is doing alright, and it has some small buds, when opened up they will be pretty, and they have a lovely scent.

Potted gardenia is looking healthy with shiny leaves, there are a few buds too; hopefully, they all are opening into pretty white flowers with beautiful fragrance.

Beautiful potted succulents, they are easy to care for, and some of the leaves are so lovely.

Some of the potted plants, of course, are having a rest this winter, they don't look beautiful, but they will when they are coming back in spring.

Winter garden can be dull, but with these flowering potted plants, it brightens up space, especially with this beautiful colour of the bromeliad.

Winter in the door is a different matter, we stay in to keep warm, and enjoy the beautiful potted orchids which are all in blooms.

A snapshot of my favourite orchid 'large white cymbidium', it is such a beautiful pure white flower.  Only one spike is open, and when the rest of the three spikes are all open, they will be amazingly attractive.

The tiny white flower plant is potted, and the flowers are spilt and cascading over the tall pot, which is proudly standing over the overgrown winter grass.

winter than in summer

Added potted saffron recently to my herbs collection, and now it is growing beautifully.  I don't know about the harvest though, just wait and see.

Potted plants need special care, make sure that the soil is moist at all time, and fertilised regularly.
