Baking

Baking and Sharing

The best home baking for morning tea is scones.  Plain scone with jam and whipped cream, or pumpkin scone with dates.  The last time I baked was fruit scones to share.  It contains an egg that makes the scone lighter.
Ideally serving scone is freshly baked on the day.  To keep it fresh, soon after baking, when it is cold, freeze it immediately.
Fruit scones are easily transported, it is an excellent sweet to share for morning or afternoon tea.

To Serve The Fruit Scones

School holiday, you can have fun to do baking with the children.  I thought of my grandkids, I feel healthy pasties are right for them, as the filling has vegetables and meat.  I used a delicate lining pastry, it is easy to prepare and to work with.  The pasties don't look very smooth, but the taste is good.
